At the top, it lists the document record number. Then it has my full birth name, my birth date, my birth city (no zip, no address or name of the location - hospital - of birth), state, and county. Then it lists the name of the person certifying my birth.
It also lists my sex, but not my race, nor does it list a the race of my parents.
From there, it lists my mother's full name (I cannot recall if it even lists her maiden name, but I don't think so). It lists only her state of birth, not county, or city. The same applies for my father. It lists their ages at the time of my birth.
It then lists the date this document was produced and has the raised seal from the state.
My wife's copy, obtained from the State of California at the same time I got mine from Idaho (April 2004), shows a photocopy of her actual original birth cert in the middle of the page and the whole document is printed on security paper. There is a ton more information on hers than there is mine (hospital name, address, home address of mother, mother's race - caucasion, father's race - oriental, occupation of parents, birth city of mother and more.
Even my son's BC from Idaho has more information on it than mine (it lists the Hospital).
I've asked my mother to locate her copy of my BC, if she can, and let me know what her version shows, as that would be from closer to when I was born, certainly prior to computer filing.
I'm not certain I can even get a copy of my original without traveling to Idaho and going to my home county.
we need a freeper from Hawaii to get a new copy of theirs and post it
