15. Here is the Problem with Obama’s Birth Certificate..... Kenya was not so named until December 1963! It was British East Africa Protectorate.

This was/is an argument we got from the After-Birthers, which was clearly shown incorrect.

But who cares now, since Inspector Smith has not provided more public information for his Obama Kenyan birth certificate.

Kenya Colony 1938

Yup, known as Kenya even in 1938! ...

National Geographic’s 1960 world map (available on the web shows Kenya as part of a larger British territory, but it is clearly delineated and named "Kenya."

Yeah, it sure does and again at the expense of the credibility of after-Birther...old and passe news. See here:

Yes, no republican did, but none of them clearly distanced themselves from Birther positions either. Not that it matters. The general public isn't generally very discerning. They will only see that Obama has confounded his enemies. And they will sort of recall that the GOP are his enemies. Therefore Obama has confounded them. QED.

Seriously, that is the level of political thinking that is prevalent in the current mass of the electorate.

Lana, thank you very much. That is indeed a compliment, and I shall allow it to set my mood for the rest of the day! :)

I did something similar in PaintShopPro (Histogram-Equalize) and came up with this:

The seal is there. It just did not photocopy too well.

A couple of new theories or claims for investigation:

- There are varying pixel sizes in the document. This means it’s a fraud.

- The “ni” in Obama’s certificate is proportionally spaced, which means it couldn’t have been typed in 1961.

- there are no apparent tab stops used on the Obama “birth certificate.” 1961 was the day of the typewriter, and nobody hand-centered things like that. Production typists used tab stops and if you look at other, known-authentic birth certificates from the time, you’ll note that they’re tab-aligned. Obama’s is not. Remember Dan Rather and his little forgery? 20-something idiots in the White House IT department have never used an actual typewriter in their life. 40-something bloggers and their girlfriends (and “Batgirl” deserves recognition for the catch on this one) most certainly did during our school and college years, and we remember how they worked too. Nobody ever manually centered or manually-aligned production documents in a typewriter.

- the Blaine fake (which was also published in the Aloha Reporter) has the same handwritten notations at the official Obama LFBC (note: these definitely appear to be in the same hand but are not identical, indicating a different source for the Blaine fake and the official OLFBC).

“... this imposters time is up, so is the time of those who helped him get and stay there”

Worse than an imposter...he is more likely a trojan horse. Who ‘sponsored’ this guy’s academic activities and paid for his living expenses during all those years? Most of us are proud to recount how we managed to scrape up enough money to fund our college years yet Obama, ever seeking sympathy for political advantage, NEVER mentions anything about how he made ends meet.

Another freeper put it best, by pleading that this not become the conservative equivalent of “the first time in history that fire melted steel”.

That is exactly what I've been worried about, and, unfortunately, I do see it happening.

Jeff, thank you so very much for the email and pinging me to this thread. The amount of work you've done to provide this is incredible. Your efforts and original research here are a real credit to the forum.

I don't know when, or for what reason, this thread got moved to "chat". Especially given that, at least for the past several days, everytime someone has a synapse twitch they start a whole new thread in news/activism devoted to their single thought about the BC.

It's "All Birth Certificate All The Time" on the front page. Thanks again for doing more than your part to corral it all into one place.

Hmm... I tried to add “news” to the topics for this thread, but it gives me a message “unknown.”

Originally I think I specified “Extended News.”

Either there’s a bug, or perhaps you are right and somebody decided, in spite of all the speculation that tends to make our side look like idiots, to bury this thread.

Great post, thank you. Still, I see that nothing will persuade the true believers.

And another thing to observe in the posts here and elsewhere, like the one about “whats-up-with-the-white-space-around-the-letters”, is the general ignorance about the often unpredictable and irrational behaviour of text and image processing software. Haven’t you folks used the wonderful MS Word?

Oh, gosh. Talk about unpredictable and irrational. Especially at the under-the-hood level, which is what we're talking about.

I need to look for someone who has Acrobat. Full version.

You lose!

Posted by her brother James, by the way, who calls upon Obama to release his long form in this 2008 post.

Nobody ever manually centered or manually-aligned production documents in a typewriter.

I can remember the teacher in my grade school typing class teaching us to move the carriage to the middle of the line, then spell the text out in our heads while hitting backspace on every other character, then type the text.

Thanks for that contribution!

I thought a little bit about that statement. I would think it more likely people in a registrar’s office would use tabs, but I think you really can’t say “never” or “nobody.” What about the new typist in the office? What about the typewriter where the tab stops don’t work? What about the employee who’s a perfectionist or just bored that day and decides to center everything?

I had forgotten, though, about backspacing every other letter. Thanks for reminding me!
