So whatever staffer created this was attempting to avoid the problem with the areas around the altered wording being blanked out.

As I posted on another Thread:

“If I Zoom in on the area of the document with the signatures, the signatures pop up first and then the printed or typed text shows up later. Try it!

I’m no expert on PDF files, but there is no way this would happen if the document was scanned then saved as a PDF. The signatures have to be on a different layer. One or the other (or both) were created separately. Something fishy here!

AND

“Also, in Block 20, the last numeral “1” in “1961” appears much sooner than the rest of the date.

Even more strange is that in Block 18a, “Ann D” appears sooner than the “unham” part of the signature.

The more I look at the PDF the more it seems that whoever made it left LOTS of clues that it is a creation rather than a simple photocopy of a real Birth Certificate bound in a folder in the archives in Hawaii.

In Block 6c the capital “I” in Institution is sans serif. Everything else is in a serif font.

In Block 18a pixelation on the “unham” portion of the signature is much smaller than that on the “D”.

It looks like you have a full copy of Adobe Acrobat. Can you dissect this thing?
