Chuck Lorre #316 (Lib TV producer slams Founders and Conservatives)

CHUCK LORRE PRODUCTIONS, #316

I believe that there are two forces struggling to dominate this country. Reinvention and nostalgia. The first seeks to imagine and work toward a better future by changing the status quo. The second insists that things were better in the past and works to undo change. Oddly, the opposing forces have come to be represented by colors. Blue and red. It's no secret where my sympathies lie. I've always been a big fan of reinvention. My life is a testament to it. There is simply no way that a scared, sickly, vaguely educated kid from Long Island gets to live the life he's living now without being willing to scrap old, unworkable ideas and start over (Of course it helped that I didn't have a rosy past to feel nostalgic towards). Which brings me to the point of this vanity card. I'm confused by people who seek to return to a life that wasn't that great to begin with. Oh, I get it if you used to be the ruling class. If your childhood memories include watching your granddaddy sip a mimosa on the veranda while being serviced by the upstairs maid, then sure, nostalgia makes sense. But, if you're like me and didn't know anyone who had a veranda, let alone a maid, let alone an upstairs, then why not consider reinvention? Maybe we can make this country a better place to live. It's certainly a more exciting way to go. You know, an uncertain future, filled with mystery and adventure. Of course, if nostalgia wins the day, if we are to attempt to reverse the course of history, then I will do my best to cooperate -- starting with bangin' me some household help.*

*Relax, Celia. It's just a joke.

I happened to see this between Hawaii 5-0 shows and freeze framed it, then looked it up.

Lorre (nee Levine) is the producer of 2 1/2 Men and other sitcoms.

He truly believe Progressivism is the way to go and all the founders of this nation were racist pigs.

This is a glimpse into the twisted mind of a Marxist Hollywood multi-millionaire who hates the system that gave him such opportunity and fame.

Words fail me and it's late...

Not very bright.

unless, of course, those in control of the agenda approve of the prattlings spewed from said individual... helping to further undermine the moral fabric of a decaying society.

at that point, you've just the personality profile they would be looking for.

this is how they staff the media. 'journalists' are given psychological questionnaires... and only those whose personality aligns with the progressive agenda will be hired.

You know half the truth.

Now add to it that those doing the hiring and giving the tests are doing so at the behest/control/direction of the government.

And if you’re REAL curious... research the history of Reuters.

Conversatives being labeled as wanting to go back to the past is the problem and that’s what needs to be corrected. If the liberals succeed in making conservatives appear to be the anti-progressive party that wants to return to the days of slavery and the Great Gatsby we’re doomed. There’s many things that weren’t good about the past...boiling clothes and then running them through a wringer, having to work a hour or more to earn enough for a long-distance call, cars that spent more time in the shop than on the road. There’s many more. But returning to the days of respect and trust at all levels including government would be nice.

This moron doesn't see the irony of his own stupidity. The system he's denouncing is the very system that allowed him to become successful. Were his new system in place he would never be allowed to gain success in the way he did.

Liberals are deranged morons.

I’ve got a feeling that this twit had it better growing up than 9 out of 10 Americans. When I was growing up in the 50’s Lawn Guyland was looked on as the promised land, flowing with milk and honey. He’s a just spoiled little whiny brat who never grew up.

News for Chuck, there’s nothing new about socialism. And if he is after something truly unique, he should read the Declaration of Independece. As for “moving forward”, Conservatives always want to perfect liberty. Chuck is just another leftist who thinks that his level one thought process is a major intellectual achievement.

LOL.... What a tool.

How about if your memories include watching your daddy work two jobs to put you through college. While today you see do-nothing Welfare queens get everything for FREE. Nostalgia would be yearned for...

Being rich and comfortable isn’t enough for these people. They have to tell everybody else what to do.

What a maroon.

The American Revolution was by far the most radical revolution in the history of the world. All others have been about which group will dominate and control the people. The AR is alone in determining that the people don’t need anyone to dominate and control them, but should instead be left alone to live their lives as they see fit. (While this hasn’t always, or never, worked out fully in practice, it IS the basic principle on which America is based.)

Similarly, capitalism, for all its flaws, is the most dynamic and rapidly changing economic system ever developed. Ever heard of “creative destruction.” It’s the various “planned economy” systems that insist on trying to keep things the same, shoveling new money down failed drains.

First Republic (1789-2008).

Second Republic (2008+).

Choose.

Great post. Rather than be a progressive that would work to make a “more perfect union”, people like Lorre want to tear down the great good that has been built and replace it with some utopia of their own demented dreams. Only the destructive part of that equation ever works.
