Let us take a trip in to the way-back machine, through the fires of the Mainstream Media Memory Hole.
On this very date in 2008, when gas prices were 10% LOWER than they are today, Obama visited Indianapolis, and gave a speech PROMISING to lower gas prices, if Elected, and blaming Bush and Cheney for Americans paying $3.55 a gallon, the price on the sign behind him, for it.
Gas prices are running 10% HIGHER now, than they were in 2008.
WHICH OBAMA LIE ARE WE TO BELIEVE?
The one in which he said “Under my plan energy prices must rise.”
Or the one that said in 2008:
“High energy prices are the fault of Bush and Cheney”????
Weren’t actual gas prices down to around 1.80 by the time he took office?

He is making re-election impossible for himself. Gas prices alone as the sole issue could elect Bozo the clown if he had a realistic energy policy at this point. My bet is that “O” doesn’t change a thing either, although he will lie even more to cover up what he is doing.
What's the theory behind the precipitous drop in prices in late 2008? And what was the supposed cause of the spike conveniently during the spring and summer before the election.
I don't tend towards conspiracies, but I've often wondered if gas prices were rigged to get Obama in office, just as I wonder if the financial crisis and the money market crash wasn't a Soros inspired disaster to elect the socialist messiah...

Your memory is correct. It went to a low of $1.37 here in east TN. It is now on the brink of tripling that price.
Try upgrading. Then, maybe.
