And here IMNSHO, is the answer.
Just because an ineligible POTUS was selected by the Electoral college and the voters, does not mean the Constitution is no longer in force. Obama, who is not a Natural Born citizen, because one of his parents was not a US Citizen, cannot be used as a precedent for another ineligible candidate.
BTW, if you disagree with me, great! But let's not talk about it anymore, since it makes me ill. Let's get the black-robed SOBs of the SCOTUS to give us their opinion on the matter before the shooting starts. Win, lose or draw, I'll accept it.
Also BTW, since neither Rubio nor Jindal seems interested in candidly admitting the facts of their birth, I am not interested in discussing them as presidential candidates. I cheerfully admit that both of whom can occasionally at least, seem otherwise splendid fellows,
BTW, freekitty, Natural Born Citizenship does not require that one's parents be born here! The parents can be born anywhere; India, Kenya, Cuba, etc. The parents must just be naturalized citizens at the time of the candidate's birth. Not after!
Pretty darned generous, I'd say.
I would consider a Trump/Cain pairing. I would have to know more about Trump’s positions. Cain really interests me and I would like to hear more about his positions. I agree than Col. West/Cain pairing would be awesome. Both have loads of executive experience and would be highly capable. They could get politicians to help charter the nasty trails in DC. In fact, I like this pairing best of all. Col. West would not take any crap! Grey Eagle
