"A recent survey conducted on 400,000 people in which 52% of respondents were self-described PC (Windows) people, 25% were Mac users and 23% were neither showed that Mac users are more politically liberal than their PC-using counterparts. 58% of Mac users were 'liberal,' as compared to 38% of PC users. Amongst other things, the survey also indicated that Mac users were, on average, more urban, younger and more educated than PC users, which could potentially be a contributing factor toward being more liberal."
What Apple product doesn't have a replaceable battery? And all those Windows laptop batteries that get replaced, where do they go?
Love my conservitive IMac, IPad and IPhone! Don’t worry we will cream the Libs!
When I married my husband 18 years ago I went Mac.
And I’ll never go back.
Conservative and a happy mac-user. When a PC will run Logic Pro I might take a look at them again.

Me and thee. I am the exact opposite of the profile they describe and I would not care if Marx and Engels wrote the Communist Manifesto on the Mac I would still prefer it over others.
This Mac user isn’t.
Dan I think you have discovered the secret of Apple success.
LOL. The secret of their success is that they visited Xerox.
There was a recent thread regarding OS share, Statcounter has these numbers for April in the US (based on WWW user agent):
Operating System | Market Share % Apr 11 |
---|---|
Win7 | 31.98 |
WinXP | 31.38 |
WinVista | 18.92 |
MacOSX | 14.89 |
iOS | 1.17 |
Linux | 0.71 |
Win2003 | 0.33 |
Playstation | 0.3 |
Win2000 | 0.12 |
unknown | 0.08 |
Nintendo | 0.05 |
Win98 | 0.02 |
WinME | 0.01 |
Android | 0.01 |
The iOS numbers there are for iPad only. Mac market share has picked up quite a bit the last few years, and the trend shows no sign of slowing down.
According to the above, in the US there's about one Mac user for every 5.5 Windows users.
Even if the study has some validity, clearly the solution is to educate the misguided, foolish liberals so they adopt conservative views. ;-)
They have potential, 'cause at least they had the sense to pick the best computers... lol
That is so blatantly wrong that I laugh out loud every time some one throws it in the mix. The boys from Apple paid Zerox for what they used, you might note that Zerox had not a clue what to do with what they had.
You should of course include in the mix how Bill Gates stole(Actually bought) the original DOS. He was clever enough to only license it to IBM and those Savvy old boys agreed to it.
This PC user chose iMac hardware with the operating system of Mac OS X, some applications I wanted, and customized the system as far as I desired.
Actually, there’s only one reason I can think of that so many PC users bother to post hate threads about Macs....
The spartan, grey-themed OS X desktop is more cutsie than the Crayola colored Windows theme with all the little web-like links and pictures everywhere?
For processors, for a while it looked like MIPS might even win over x86, with MS making Windows NT for MIPS. But then Intel pushed x86 fast enough so that the performance difference wasn't worth the price premium. After that, nobody was willing to invest in R&D for those other processors and they died in the face of Intel's economy of scale, and especially the switch to the lower-power Core series (which is what got Apple onboard).
My son seems to work on his Mac. I don’t, but I didn’t work on my PC either. I just want a computer that works when I turn it on, and doesn’t get a virus every other week. Love my Mac. Not sure why that makes some people so angry. Or makes them think I’m a liberal. I guess they don’t like that my husband drives a Honda Fit either...
Obviously you’re a liberal and the conservatives don’t want you anymore. You might as well pack your bags and go hang out at Starbucks...
One thing Jobs sells is really REALLY good customer service. The few times I’ve needed them they have not only been there when they said they would (if it was a phone consult they have called me exactly when they said they would) and/or I’ve spoken to someone who actually knew the product and had real honest to goodness correct answers. What a refreshing change after years of other companies. I’m sorry, and I’ve had other computers that were serviceable, but have had really crappy customer service virtually without fail. That is almost worth the price even if nothing else about the Mac were better.
