I'm not positive, but I think if she didn't get that charge reduced, she may not have been eligible for bail pending appeal on the probation violation.

In any event, the chances of winning on appeal for a probation violation are virtually non-existent. It is incredibly rare. And, the burden of proof in a hearing for a probation violation is not "beyond reasonable doubt", but is rather a preponderance of the evidence. So, she could beat the misdemeanor rap, and it would have no legal impact on the probation violation hearing.

She is eventually going to do that PV time, or at least whatever the overcrowding situation allows for.
