Its always been perverted. The title of the first episode is “Cartman Gets an Anal Probe.”
That is pretty ironic, for some to say the show has BECOME perverted. They do manage to stick some poignant, hysterical, irreverent and brilliant stuff in between.
You don’t get this kind of following and audience by just doing penis and jokes. There is a lot more to it.
