Too many PC choices mixed in.

Kate McKay's influence on this list pretty much ruined it...a list of men's movies should have been drafted by men. No chicks.

There’s no such thing!

I haven’t been to a movie in over 60 years!

Not only is Kelly’s Hero’s not listed as #1, it’s not on the list...

By all means! For that matter, Red River is better than a lot of them on that list.

"I haven’t been to a movie in over 60 years!"

Absolutely. In general a pretty good list though.

Field of Dreams would be near perfect but the goofy 60s nostalgia ruins it for me.

I can't think of Bull Durham without being reminded of Kevin Costner's gay dancng at the end. Plus I hate Sarandon.

Biggest missing movie for me is The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.

Not sure, I think it was Pinochio.

I’d have left out most of the Robert Redford movies (except Jeremiah Johnson). Can’t speak for most of the foreign films except 7 Samurai & Das Boot, so I guess I’d have to leave the rest in by default.

and i’d have added:

D.O.A.
The Naked Prey
Fistful of Dollars/Few Dollars More
Outlaw Josey Wales
Superfly/Shaft/Dolemite

Good point. A man’s movie list should be movies men want to see, not what their girlfriends or wives want men to take them to.

I concur, not a bad list, at all. I would suggest

The Deer Hunter

or Raging Bull

More De Niro/Scorsese, would be my vote.

You are so right about that one.

Severely compromised by including the *eyeroll* McCarthy era parable The Iron Giant but not The Wild Bunch (the greatest men’s movie ever). Taken should also have been on here.

What no PLatoon? Blade Runner? Maltese Falcon? Wings? Hell’s Angels? There are many more out there that you missed. There are even more out there from outside of Hollywood that are great. Its a mater of taste.
