I'm sorry you suffered that but glad the result wasn't worse.
Was there a treatment for it?
The opthalmologist had me coming to her office every day of the week including sundays, and she put drops in my eyes, but I never knew what they were. She gave me a couple of prescriptions that I was to use freely, but they were mostly just to soothe the pain, which was incredibly sharp and agonizing. I have nothing but sympathy for anyone who has (or is) suffering with shingles.
Funny how so much TV time is spent advertising Cialis, Viagra, etc., but none is spent advertising vaccines which might actually do some good. (It isn't as if word wouldn't get around about Cialis and Viagra, etc. anyway.)

I had the pneumonia vaccine AFTER I had pneumonia also.
It was in 1997 but there is much more awareness of it now.
