As we watch the left once again use the communist tactics of Saul Alinsky to send the good guys (and ladies) scrambling to show we're not "extreme".
This poster is reminded of a derisive term from America's past which long, long predating comrade Alinsky.
A term intended to insult and belittle. By the British, during America's founding. That term, was "Yankee Doodle Dandy".
Yes. It was used much like "Birther" is now.
It's a term, Americans adopted and wore with pride, as they stood up to what our founders came to see as a hostile, occupying system.
Yankee Doodle Dandy.
Sometimes, the best way to win, is to do the opposite of what your opponent expects of you.
Perhaps it is time for our side to stop being intimidated by the term, and embrace it. Proudly and without apology.
After all, what is birth?
Life.
There are certainly worse things, for a conservative to be called...
I’m not a birther, at least in the sense that I believe a baby named “Barack Hussein Obama” was born in Hawaii to anti-American parents. However, I am more than a bit curious what is on that baby’s birth certificate that is so damning that a team of lawyers for the communist in our White House is working so hard to hide every detail from his past. I want the long form birth certificate released. I want full college transcripts released. I want the same information on the current occupant of our White House that every reasonable person demands for every president in our history. I guess that makes me a racist and a birther. I’m okay with that.
Yes, I’m a “birther”, as opposed to an “aborter”.
I’M A YANKEE DOODLE DANDY
George M. Cohan
I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy
A Yankee Doodle, do or die
A real live nephew of my uncle Sam’s
Born on the Fourth of July
I’ve got a Yankee Doodle sweetheart
She’s my Yankee Doodle joy
Yankee Doodle came to London
Just to ride the ponies
I am a Yankee Doodle boy
I’m the kid that’s all the candy
I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy
I’m glad I am
So’s Uncle Sam
I’m a real live Yankee Doodle
Made my name and fame and boodle
Just like Mister Doodle did
By riding on a pony
I love to listen to the Dixey strain
“I long to see the girl I left behind me”
And that ain’t a josh
She’s a Yankee, by gosh
Oh, say can you see
Anything about a Yankee that’s a phoney?
I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy

Born on the Fourth of July
I’ve got a Yankee Doodle sweetheart
She’s my Yankee Doodle joy
Yankee Doodle came to London
Just to ride the ponies
I am a Yankee Doodle boy
Father’s name was Hezikiah
Mother’s name was Ann Maria
Yanks through and through
Red, white and blue
Father was so Yankee hearted
When the Spanish War was started
He slipped upon his uniform
And hopped up on a pony
My mother’s mother was a Yankee true
My father’s father was a Yankee too
And that’s going some
For the Yankees, by gum
Oh, say can you see
Anything about my pedigree that’s phoney?

Like me, your curiosity about the secrecy surrounding this potentially significant Constitutional question makes you a target — and not just from the Left/Democrat Socialists ... but also outright condemnation for even daring to bring up the issue from those self-proclaimed “defenders of the Constitution and of conservative values” including Hewitt, Medved O’Reilly, Levin, et al.
Even if it does exist, that still doesn't make him a "Natural Born Citizen" because:
1. He was a Dual citizen, and he said so in his so-called autobiography;
2. He surrendered his citizenship and because a citizen of Indonesia. He acknowledged this by traveling to Pakistan under an Indonesian passport. No records show he ever regained American citizenship and I'm guessing he attended college as a foreign student. Arguments that he was a minor when his American citizenship was surrendered should be moot, if he attended college as foreign student, because he was certainly old enough at that time to regain his citizenship.
Love that movie, and Cagney’s dance was kinda of like a
marionette but perfect for the part.
i think it was the TCM mini documentary on the movie that mentioned that cagney’s dance performance was a perfect imitation of cohen’s actual dance style. very unique, but really fun to watch.
