Convert and burn to DVD with this: AVS Video Editor
I redownloaded the Youtube video and this time saved as mpeg . I want to burn in Windows Movie Maker . There is no BURN TO DVD option that I can see . Guess I could burn to CD . How should I proceed . Getting a headache reading the myriad info on the net . Thanks a lot for the help .
That depends on what you are trying to do.
A YouTube video can typically be downloaded with a site like keepvid.com, in one of several computer file formats. Any of these could be burned to a DVD as data files, which could be later viewed via a computer.
However, if you wish to put them into a DVD format, viewable on a DVD player, you first need to use DVD authoring software, like Nero Vision, which is part of the Nero DVD suite. It will turn data files, be they .avi, .mpg, .mp4, .mov, etc., into DVD .vob files that can be read by a DVD player.
Importantly, you can put a lot of lot of such files on a single DVD, so the first thing a DVD authoring usually does is help you set up a main screen, so that when you put your DVD in a player, you will see your options, such as selecting which video to play.
Since most YouTube videos are fairly short, if you don’t have too many of them, you can use your authoring software to write them to a CD (800mb) instead of a DVD (4.7gb). Instead of the DVD .vob format, however, your authoring software will write to a CD using the VCD format, that looks somewhat different.
The now mpeg file is just 5 minutes long . I want to be able to view on a DVD player . I have Windows Movie Maker and am attempting to burn via that .
YOu can download DVD burning software here
