Firefox has definitely gotten better. I do a lot of web development and the developer extensions are excellent. But doing web development also requires me to do frequent cache cleanups and cookie deletions so I use Chrome for all my other browsing while I work with Firefox.

I gave up on IE except for the few work-related websites that I use... I got tired of that stupid "Connecting..." message appearing for a minute or so when I start up IE. Chrome just starts right up and works.

Firefox 3.6.16 is so much like IE8 in look and feel that it’s hard to imagine you wouldn’t like it if you use IE8.
