I'm hoping West keeps his powder dry for 2016 or 2020. He's a rising star, but he's also fresh on the field. Give him a little time to mature as a legislator, and get some solid accomplishments under his belt, and he'll be unstoppable.

I understand what you're saying. But, I'm not sure we have until 2016/2020. We've only had two years of Obama and our country is hanging on by a thread. Six more years, forget it. If we don't win in 2012, that's all she wrote for America.
I suppose I'm looking more for a leader in 2012 - not necessarily a career politician. Actually, I think the more time someone spends in the DC beltway, the less I trust them.
