Beemer Airhead here. 1978 R100. I'm quite partial to the BMW motorcycle since it's really just an aircraft engine sliced down to two cylinders. No chains, no belts, no noise, and enough low end torque to save on the RPM's.

Riding a bike is way more expensive than driving a car or truck. But if you need to sell that idea to a certain higher authority I understand............

I’ve got a 1975 BMW R90/6 - don’t ride it though it was my late husband’s. We went on a 6 week camping trip on that bike - custom seats so it was a dream to ride - even up to 8 hours a day. We loaded it up with all our camping gear - had a blast. Quiet, sturdy - dependable.
