You have to dig out the bulbs to get rid of wild onions.That's the only way I know. Seems like in this day and age there should be a "Round-Up" like herbicide that can do the job.

Glyphosate (RoundUp) is a soil killer.
You really don’t want to use that stuff where you grow your food.

That's the only way I know.I've used 10% vinegar to kill stubborn weeds before. Just use it when you know the daytime temps are over 70 degrees.
