Uh, don’t you mean an over-the-hill, washed-up, has-been, bitter, sour, elitist lickspittle like Ebert?

In best Monty Pythonesqe manner, "Goes without saying..."

Roger, dude, if you weren’t a film critic, your prime ocntribution to the film world would be writing screenplays for Russ Meyer’s titsploitation movies. Lighten up.

For me, that philosophy reduces itself to: "I’m on board; pull up the lifeline."

WTF? Of all the criticisms of Ayn Rand I've seen that is the most inane.
Ebert's brain must be oatmeal now.

'A negative review from a liberal source.'

Well color me shocked...oh wait, was that a racist remark?

Anywho, I can't wait to see it for myself tomorrow night. It will be the 1st time EVER I have gone to the movies by myself, although I don't think I will feel very alone, lol.

Wearing my "Don't Tread On Me" yellow shirt as well!

I never pay attention to Roger Ebert.

But what he says about railroads here highlights where this film just may fall flat on its face.

Today is the age of aero-space, high-tech electronics, and internet communications. The people who must be turned-on to the benefits of capitalism aren’t playing with railroads. Unfortunately most have been brainwashed into thinking socialism is good and trees have civil rights. This movie, which I will see, probably won’t garner their attention.

But what can I say? I love trains, drinking wine, and hanging out is swanky environs paneled with wood and providing leather chairs. Sounds like MY kind of movie.

I’ll be going tomorrow at the Northgate multiplex in Seattle for the first show. It will be the first time I’ve gone to the movies since 1990.

That was my thought too. Aren’t the Libs always pushing high speed rail?

Back in the Eighties, I met Russ Meyer. I had a conversation with Russ Meyer. Mr. Ebert, you’re no Russ Meyer.

I’m wondering if they did that on purpose....to show us all where we are headed.

Those of us who read the book will understand. Those who didn’t can hopefully learn something......then read the book!

The DVD has some informative “extra features”...which will ultimately cause you to watch “A Sense of Life”, which I hope you enjoy as much as we did.

Atlas Shrugged Part 1 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Not pretty.

Ayn Rand couldn't get the movie of Atlas Shrugged made, nor could a long succession of people who followed her, so I'm not going to be surprised by bad reactions and reviews.

The movie is probably going to suffer from the fact that everyone who read the book has strong feelings and ideas about the subject matter. I myself have the book in my head and am sort of split on whether or not I want to see the movie or not.

So many people are disappointed when their favorite books have been made into movies. Books to movies invariably makes a lot of people really angry. For every success, like Watchmen or Gone with the Wind there are dozens of stinkers Breakfast of Champions or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. That has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with how we feel and think about books and characters.

Those who haven't read the book haven't either because the subject matter doesn't interest them or because the book is very long and is seen as boring, or because they are actively opposed to the message.

Atlas Shrugged has a lot to overcome to be a success, but I do hope people go to see it.

“chances are I’ll like it...when it comes out on pay per view”

This is the one time you should probably get off your butt, and into a theater.

Not only to see it, but to deliver a message to the Hollywood left.
