Keith Urban did a Leonard Skynard duet with Leonard Skynard’s lead guitarist a few years ago on either an awards show or a tribute show - I don’t remember which - and he was awesome. I also like what he’s done to support young guitarists and musicians.
Would have been Gary Rossington, I’d reckon. Allen Collins and Steve Gaines are both gone, and Ed King is retired from the biz. Of those four, Gaines is my favorite, but most of the Skynyrd solos I can play well are Rossington’s.
And I don’t count any of the post-crash members. :)
