OHHH, you've got it Panthermom. Because Marshall's quote, born on the soil of citizen parents is a bit abstract, your phrase it the best I've seen. People who haven't read 14th Amendment author John Bingham may not know that Bingham replaced "citizen" with "allegiance" in his formulation, but after almost three years of lies, they understand allegiance, and most of them understand parents.
