What the RINOs have going for them is a certain number of very safe seats. That is, no matter how great the debacle, they are going back to DC to wheel and deal.

A majority is a great inconvenience to the GOP. It definitely takes time away from the real business of Congress, which is business. "Let the Democrats give their obedient peasants whatever the hell they want. We have bigger fish to fry!"
