Mark Levin just criticized birther movement again

Posted on 04/12/2011 5:27:44 PM PDT by Politics4US

Tonight while talking about Trump, Levin said the birther movement gets us nowhere, and he has no part of the movement. He also said he will have his administrator delete comments on his facebook criticizing him for this.

****It IS disappointing. I respect Mark Levin above almost every other prominent conservative and his reticence on the eligiblity issue baffles me. It’s one thing to say, well, it won’t “get us anywhere”, but dismissing it as “non-important” as they all seem to do, is like saying the Constitution itself isn’t important.****

If I look at American politics as dispassionately as I can, I see that there is no individual that has a deep reputation as a conservative that is in the running today(Sarah Palin might be the only exception with conservative bonafides). We are again (as has pretty much ever been since FDR) looking for a Reagan. A turned individual who will back up his rhetoric. We have seen many candidates do the opposite of what they say and this burning of our flesh still makes us distrustful of newcomers to the conservative fold.

It seems to me that Mark just wants this to all go away so he can attack policy. I think he forgets that the actions of the enemy determine their weak spot. 2 Mil says weak spot to me.

Don’t you really think his Spritey’s death is far more important than whether or not we have someone who is not a natural born citizen sitting in the White House and acting as Commander in Chief?

I listen from time to time, but I got sick of Spritey and Griffey, and I really get tired of hearing on every damned show that “I worked in the Reagan Administration.” Sounds like J Fn Kerry’s “I served in Vietnam.” Enough, already. It’s boring.

While I don’t agree with Mark on this (Obama most certainly has NOT established his eligibility), I do agree with Mark and a few other conservatives and some freepers here that the eligibility issue probably will not be the reason Obama is removed from office. If he is removed, it will most likely be via the ballot box in 2012.

The state of the economy should be front and center in the lead-up to the 2012 elections. We are perilously close to an economic meltdown in the country and Obama along with the leftists in the Senate have demonstrated that they cannot (or will not) do anything to fix the problems we have. In fact, their proposed “solutions” and actions will exacerbate the matter.

While the eligibility issue is important to a lot of us, the state of the economy is the one issue around which all freedom loving, economically literate Americans must unite before it’s too late.

Mark thinks that the issue is just not going anywhere. He believes we should put our energy and efforts into a constitutional amendment to limit government spending to a percentage of the GDP. Mark fails to realize that the dims don't care what the constitution says. They do what they please. So even if we are successful with the balanced budget amendment the dims will never follow it. The crux of the birther issue is reestablishing the constitution as the supreme law of the land and to re enforce that there are consequences for ignoring the constitution. Mark is a brilliant man and a great conservative. He knows Obama is not eligible. He simply thinks the issue isn't important and is not win able. In this he is wrong. This issue is about lawless disregard for the constitution and the rule of law. It is the culmination of decades of subversion, mendacity, and treason aimed at the destruction of the constitution and our republic. Mark is only now beginning to realize the depth of the evil we face. If Obama is not eligible then he must resign. It is incumbent upon Obama to produce his BC. He cannot of course. Even the state of Hawaii couldn’t find it. By forcing this issue the constitution can be reestablished as the supreme law of the land. And we can send the marxists packing. Obama must comply with the requirements of the constitution. As a citizen I demand that you, Obama, prove your eligibility for the office of the president.

The birth certificate issue only scratches the surface. There is the stolen SSN, the suppressed college records, the trip to Pakistan, and on and on.... With all due respect to Mark, I really think he is missing the boat on this one. The day of reckoning is coming... Sooner rather than later.

I just removed him too. The funny thing is we all want the MSM to go down; looks like half the conservative media might end up in the has-been category right along with them.

I wish these RINOS would just shut up.

very disappointing. Levin is one of my favorites.

Rusty Humphries is my favorite. He is slamming on Obama and his alleged eligibility. This is needed.

Take a stand America! This is the “remember the Alamo” slogan we need to go along with “Taxed Enough Already”.

I is like peeing on the Constitution. For the first time ever, I am ashamed of Mark Levin.

I don’t know where states think all this money is coming from. Eventually, the system will break. You might as well be brave and patriot and stand strong against those who are doing the breaking.

I agree. If we get another McCain (Romney, Christy or Huckleberry) then I will support Trump as a third party candidate.

I know he isn’t ideally conservative, and I suspect he began this to help Hillary, but grief, the way the GOP line up is being pushed, I can’t stomach it.

Mark was saying he hoped that Bobby Jindahl would reconsider and toss his hat into the ring.

But Jindahl isn’t an NBC.

The eligibility issue is all about the constitution, Mark Levin is obvious not.

“Anyone criticizing Mark Levin is a fool. He is a passionate, intelligent, take no prisoners conservative. Period.”

I second that!!!

I grew up getting the majority of my news from the only available sources at the time...the evening news from one of the 3 networks, my local paper, Time and Newsweek.

My conservative views were mocked and ridiculed by my sources of information...constantly.

I don't understand how some birthers can turn their backs on solid conservatives just because they won't cheerlead their favorite cause.

Listening/reading people I don't agree with always helps me strengthen my beliefs.

This sure is evidence of what a real tower of strength Mark Levin is. Ignoring this CONSTITUTIONAL issue reveals Mark to be more of a tower of jelly.

By the way, Mark Levin is a Freeper. His user name is "holdonnow". So while he may be able to scrub critical comments on his Facebook account, he will not be able to do that here on Free Republic.

What a wimp, eh?

I stopped listening to him a long time ago.

He's the legal expert. So why doesn't he do a detailed analysis, as he did for the 2000 election. If i missed it, then apologies.

Sounds like he was hushed up or something. It's very disappointing. I feel betrayed.

Thanks for all responses and flames in advance.
