The canned ammo is ball and much of it with corrosive primers; you can also find hunting ammo in that caliber at gunshows, still very cheap.
The main thing with corrosive ammo, immediately after you have finished shooting, windex and hot water to the barrel and metal parts, then dry. You can shoot corrosive, just have to clean it asap with the right stuff.
