If you’re talking .22 target shooting, it doesn’t get much better than a Ruger Mark III (or II).

I own both and the Mk III is the most accurate pistol I've ever fired. I wouldn't hesitate to endorse it. I prefer it over the Mk II because the mag release is in a more traditional place and mine is more accurate than my Mk II. I don't remember ever having a feeding problem with either pistol.

Indeed. But you’re better off to get a II. The III is so loaded down with extra “safety” crap that it barely works compared to the II. The III’s loaded chamber indicator frequently causes the III to stovepipe, so you’d probably want to remove it from the gun and throw it away, which is pretty easy as there are plenty of online guides that show how to do that.
