A few years ago, my husband bought a Walther P22 for me. I like the idea of having a .22 handgun, but this gun hasn't been a good fit. I've shot a couple thousand rounds, at least. With all that practice, you would think I'd be getting tight clusters, right on target, every time, but no. I know how to shoot, which makes this even more frustrating. I do much better with heavier guns and calibers (.40 and .357) but want a .22 in the family arsenal, such as it is.
The Walther sometimes stovepipes and even my husband, who is very much an expert when it comes to firearms, has told me he doesn't like the Walther. I've tried the Sig Mosquito, which I love, but don't want anything that requires special ammo.
So, I guess I have two dilemmas. First, should I sell the gun? On one hand, I want to say, once you own a gun, you should never get rid of it. One of my kids may fall in love with it someday. On the other, I don't like it and never will.
My other question, is if not the Walther P22, then what? I want something small enough to carry but heavier, like the Mosquito.
OUCH! Sounds like your Taurus 94 was a total disaster. The only problem I have had with mine was 35 pounds of trigger pull in double action (not really, but it WAS super stiff). Taurus replaced the trigger for me, no charge and no questions, and had it back to me in less than two weeks.
Aww Jeez, all these comments about never selling a gun make me sick. Its a tool, nothing more, nothing less. Go out an find a better one, trade what you have for it and be happy.

A gun is a tool. If it don’t fit/work, get rid of it ! You make someone else’s day !!
If you’re seeking a plinker/target gun lots to choose from. If you can find/afford I’d suggest and earlier Colt Woodsman, or a High-Standard. I once owned a H&R top break revolver with target sights that was superb !
OTOH if you’re looking for a cheaper-running substitute for your carry gun, look into conversions or “alikes”....Or.....start reloading your own. A surprisingly small front end investment returns thousands of hours of shooting enjoyment, PLUS, a lot more knowledge of interior/exterior ballistics, and other arcane knowledge that will increase your shooting enjoyment !!

My Taurus 94 has been a pretty decent revolver. No problems other than a heavy trigger pull.
The Mosquito can be very picky about ammo. Mine only works flawlessly with CCI Mini-Mags and Federal AutoMatch.
Haven’t seen the Browning 1911 .22LR, but I’ve read comments saying it’s size is 80-85% of a regular 1911.
German Sport Guns might be the other company you’re thinking of. The GSG 1911 .22LR is my favorite .22 handgun. It’s full size. Most of the parts(around 80% of the parts, I think) are interchangeable with standard 1911 parts. It works really well with just about any ammo. Much better quality for not much more $ than the Chiappa 1911 22LR(which is also full size but not designed to allow use of standard 1911 parts.)

I like it a lot. We took it out to the range last Saturday and blew threw a 525 box of Remington ammo. It shoots really nicely, and is easy for my wife to handle and to clean. She is a novice shooter so I had her using it as single action, but the double-action isn’t too heavy for her to work, either.

I bring up the latter because it can be found dirt cheap.

pack it up and send it to smith and wesson (theyre the walther repair depot in the USA). include a note, and they’ll likely be able to fix it for you.

the other dedicated new 22 LR 1911 is made by Chiappa firearms and is quite reasonably priced.
