The Reelz Channel has been running a marathon of “The Kennedys” and will show the conclusion on Sunday, April 10th at 8pm ET.
Media Week says the station took a risk airing the miniseries. The station is seen in 60 million homes and receives no fees from cable or satellite providers.
While the top-tier channels receive payments from the providers, Reelz is paid only by advertisers.
Stanley S. Hubbard, the head of Hubbard Broadcasting which owns Reelz, said he hasn’t seen a more “interesting” TV series in decades.
The New York Post calls the Kennedys “One of the best, most riveting, historically accurate dramas”. Meanwhile the LA Times says Barry Pepper deserves an Emmy Award.
Katie Holmes played Jacqueline Kennedy, and Greg Kinnear played John F. Kennedy.
JFK’s father, Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr (Tom Wilkinson), played an important role in getting his son the Presidency.

Did the same gave up during the second episode and deleted the remaining eposodes. Very poorly done. It put me to sleep both times I tried to watch.

It’s been balanced and accurate. Kennedys want to be worshipped rather than have the negatives come out. Protecting the brand.
Kinear is top notch. Captures the wit, charm, and weaknesses of JFK. Makes him human. Deserves an Emmy but highly unlikely given the politics.

Kinnear really did capture JFK.

I have Comcast cable and it is on ON DEMAND - I just found it today and watched 6 episodes not knowing the 7th was on tonight:( Maybe the 7th will show up on demand tomorrow.
It was very good - great acting - good slice of history.
I have RCN. I’ll have to check to see if it’s ON DEMAND.
The problem with this series is that it comes far too late. Middle-aged Americans weren’t even born when John and Robert Kennedy were alive. Breaking down the Kennedy mythos would have been interesting and daring 30 years ago. Now it’s irrelevant, like the Kennedys themselves.
It’s never too late for the truth to come out.

Still watching this Kennedy thing. Have no clue how long it is or what the schedule is.
So far, I'm impressed with the series.
However, I agree with AnotherUnixGeek, kind of outdated. Where was the info when I and others, like my kid, would have been interested.
Personally, I am just so glad to see the Kennedy's go obsolete.
Now to get rid of the current plague, O'Bozo.
