No, P&F weren't using or doing anything nearly that sophisticated. Your reference is to an entirely different process. I did notice the 100 million degrees kelvin reference : ) 100 million degrees kelvin is a long ways from 500 C˚.

Yes it is different process.

The 100 Million Kelvin is only at the microsecond where the bubble collapses. It isn’t the temp of the liquid.

Anyways, no one has got anywhere with it, seems a dead end. Something that is close but no cigar.
