NFL star, Peyton Manning, has become a father for the first time after his wife, Ashley Manning, gave birth to twins last week.

The Indianapolis Colts quarterback welcomed a son, Marshall Williams Manning, and a daughter, Mosley Thompson Manning, into the world on March 31.

Peyton, 35, and his wife have always gone out of their way to keep their family life private, and until just a few weeks ago, Ashley’s pregnancy had been kept a secret.

A source close to the new parents broke their silence today when they told Radar online: ‘It is true, it is happy news for them.’

The twins are the first children for Peyton and Ashley, who tied the knot in Memphis in 2001.

New mother, Ashley, 31, gave birth in their home town of Indianapolis.

There have been so many rumors about the Manning marriage but they have chosen to keep their private lives to themselves.

I am happy for this family and babies are always great news.....

Yep, one day Peyton will have his kids on his knee and he’ll tell them about how he went 0-4 against the Gators.

I was just going to say that I wonder if he's made ESPN's draft board for 2031?

HA!

That information will be dust in the memories of the Manning family.

Meanwhile, congrats to two healthy babies!

They told us we were having twins early on, I nearly had a coronary. Turns out it was only a beautiful blonde blue eyed girl. Awhhhhh!

She’s a kick @ss tennis player too!

Go Gators!

Nice timing, too! Not only the off-season, but Peyton may have an extended vacation in 2012, perfect for spending more time with the fam!
