I don't know how a Sox fan could like/appreciate M.R. after what he pulled the last days he was w/ Boston... he didn't give a damn... barely running out grounders.

After that no team should have bought his services... he should have retired then.

The fact is, growing up and growing old in Boston, one began to despair of EVER seeing the Sox win the World Series. Seeing that happen made an Old Man (me) VERY forgiving.

After that, anything he did, pretty much, was just “Manny being Manny.”
