Actually, he makes the Tea Party’s case for them: why in the world should taxpayers be tagged to pay for cancer screening tests that even millionaires don’t find worthwhile paying for?

If the tests ARE worthwhile, he can afford to pay for them (and surely is a rotten daddy if he doesn’t); there is no need for taxpayer assistance. Conversely, if the tests are NOT worthwhile, it makes no sense for taxpayers to pay for them.

And the fact that his daughter/granddaughter apparently would be happy to get such worthless tests only if taxpayers paid for them simply demonstrates the kind of waste that subsidized medical care encourages.
