Ok, though I was one of the very few on here who liked Jacobs voice, I am fine with his going home. I agree with iovine that he was losing his confidence and singing with some desperation. He did sound much better in his swan song ( until the end when mercifully the station ended the show).
But he has never put forth any gay agenda, coming out, bs. I was a huge lambert fan, but after AI, and even before with his glammy gay kissing online, he pushed his gayness into our faces. Jacob seems like someone who is flat out hormonally challenged. I don’t think he is deliberately acting that feminine; I don’t think he can help it. Do you know what I mean? He’s not deliberately flaming like a proud out gay — he’s just super effeminate. I do hope he plays his cards right and gets work using his incredible voice. He needs to not be back in Compton. It is too dangerous for him there.

No. Some people are seriously impaired in gender hormones or makeup. They simply do not move, act, or look like their own gender. Like Janet Reno, Jacob, etc.
As far as I know, and I will easily stand corrected, Jacob hasn’t talked about or demonstrated on Youtube that he is living the gay lifestyle. Maybe he is. But if he’s leading a quiet moral life (whether or not he has experimented with sex which is normal for people in their 20s), I don’t see the need to blame him for his mannerisms. James cannot help his, either. I see it as the same thing.
I doubt Jacob ever passes for truly hetero. But some people are very effeminate or masculine. Admit it, the streak of lipstick on Reno’s lips and the clunky pearls she put on did not at all hide how utterly masculine the woman was. There isn’t much Jacob could do, with the way he moves, to look butch.
I hate that we are so accepting of disabilities now, like Down Syndrome, etc, but so harsh to young people who seem to be “born” with different gender traits. It’s really not the child’s fault.
We’ll have to disagree on that one.
Jacob is a great singer. He made my eyes verklempt on more than one occasion.
He had some incredible moments early on. As the season wore on and the going got tougher, he began to try to recreate those moments via histrionics and ramped-up performing, and the camera does not lie. He lost his magic, he knew it and we knew it.
A shame really, and I think the same thing is about to happen to Lauren (who possesses a different kind of magic). She doesn't have the emotional skill set of a Pia Toscano to pull her through when the doubts creep in. She's a performing veteran, but she's still a kid.
She's my favorite of those who are left but it's hard for me to see her winning.

Sure. I think we have another member around here also. There might be FOUR of us...lol. Haley really owned the night on Wednesday. In fact, it has been a month since she performed poorly. She is getting stronger and has more energy than any other contestant at this point. James is going to have to step it up to beat her. I love Haley and said this early on way up thread. I just didn't believe she would survive this far, but... wow.

Lauren goes next week. I think that is pretty clear. Jacob's fans will go to Haley and James. Once Lauren goes, her fans go to Scotty, so we could see James and Haley or James and Scotty in the finale. However, Scotty needs to seriously step it up. He was just coasting this past week.
I still love you! It’s just how I feel. Not sure Jacob is out or not, but I have never heard anything about his male on male activities and hope I don’t. :)
Actually, a significant number of Jacob's fans will just go away.
