RE: Too fracking cold.
The reaon why people still opt to STAY in California even with the huge budget deficit, huge state debt, higher taxes, and an intractable immigration problem is this -— GOD GIVEN WEATHER.
People will tolerate lots of disadvantages for this one factor.
In fact, other than Hawaii, I can’t find any other state in this country with the natural weather advantage that California affords.
Unless the Dakota man-made advantage far outweighs the man-made problems of California, I don’t see how Dakota’s natural weather disadvantage can encourage people to migrate to their part of the world.
EDIT TO ADD : Maybe a Japan-like earthquake or two would change people’s minds ( God forbid )
A good many of us stay in Michigan just because its absolutely beautiful and sportsman friendly.
Fortunately the leeches appear to be fleeing and we’re fixing Michigan.
