Exactly. There are bacteria that are supposed to be there. Alcohol is also hygroscopic (absorbs water) and that is very damaging to mucous tissues.
Yes, but not only does it kill germs, it can also kill the ‘good’ bacteria, as well as other cells the body uses as a defense against foreign invaders. (Or they might see the vodka as a bad thing, and have a reaction to it) And if there’s any tissue damage, that just makes it even more likely to get something in there later.
