First time he followed Reagan. This time, Arnold. That would make anyone’s job tougher.

Before this thing is all over Jerry Brown will wish he had lost the Nov 2010 election. (Watch him age before your eyes). And I'm sure the situation will not improve for a very long time. Brown will be out of office before California improves. California will either default on his obligations or Congress will have to offer a package that will allow the state to go bankrupt. This will require changing the Bankruptcy Laws. Then California can be put under the control of a bankruptcy judge with the authority to make tough decisions. Brown will essentially be stripped of his powers as will the Democratic Legislature. If California defaults, nobody will loan them money again regardless of interest rates. Only a fool would buy a California Muni. So the state is between a rock and a very hard spot. California has been dumbing down on stupidity time and time again and each time they are losing and getting further into debt. This is price of having Democrats in charge of the State Legislature for the past 50 years.

The average Californian is simply too stupid to understand what's happening. Obama was supposed to make everything better. But California is not immune to the laws of economics and the chickens have arrived and set up shop. California is screwed.

A State ran on vapor-ware,there is no new economic boom coming to help it out this time. There is some tough hardy souls who will survive but otherwise this place is gone to the dogs. They can’t fine people enough or raise the sale tax enough,to save their pensions and their pretty salaries.

All the money in the world wouldn’t change how far this State has fallen in recent years. If Governor Brown can change that,he could run the whole country for all I care.
