Penn was put on 36 months probation, required to perform 300 hours of community service and undergo 36 hours of anger management classes, and ordered to stay 100 yards (91 meters) away from the photographer.
He also broke a smoking bylaw a year or two ago at the Toronto International Film Festival by smoking during a press conference. :)
