Though some (many?) would disagree I'm not a big fan of church's that try to stage amateur Disney musicals.
In some modern churches, there are. For example, some use piano music, some use soloists with recorded accompaniment. It's great for some, but not for me.
I tend to agree with you, though. I am not a fan of 'Rock Me, Jesus'. In our church, unfortunately, our idea of an oldie is a song written before 2005.
