It seems to me that most of the craze phenomena developed in the last twenty years are designed to invade personal privacy. I don’t really understand why people want to paint bulls-eyes on themselves. Maybe I’m totally out to lunch, however, having strangers (or near strangers) involved in highly personal aspects of my life scares me. With the expansion of invasive government activities designed to build a data base about every little thing about every citizen, my instinctive response is to do just the opposite, i.e. hide. Therefore, I don’t tweet, skype, text message, blog, chat (with the exception of hopefully anonymous chatting here) or facebook. I have a cell phone which my wife gave me, but I refuse to charge the battery and never give out the number. I firmly believe there are very few reasons why people should need to have access to my personal life every minute of every hour of every day. Excuse me, I have to go. Someone is knocking at the door of my cave.

We know who you are from your credit card purchases and your buying habits using the grocery store “club” card. That’s sufficient for now.
