A friend of mine said I "needed" a Facebook account over a year ago, so I tried it out. So I tried it out and found that most people talked about their inane daily activities. Who cares if they are waiting in an airport or doing laundry? Does anyone else hate being connected all of the time? Not to mention the fact that you will be contacted by people you do not want to hear from anymore. And you must respond. Reject them, or just ignore them. Either way, it is awkward.
If you want to talk about something, start a blog.
If you want to contact me, email me.
I still do not understand the fascination with Facebook (or Twitter)...... and I am someone who grew up in a computer.
Was curious how many other people tried it but dumped it. W
BLEAAAAH!!
It was bad enough sitting there with everyone checking their facebook and twittering. What a f...g bore!
Oh Lawzy! Tell me about it!! Husband’s family had a photography studio; so the photos have been ever-present. His brother used to flash flashbulbs in your face at every family gathering. Once he snapped one of me when I’d just woke up from a nap sitting in a chair. He then took it and put it on one of those weirdo-warp programs that made people in photos look like one of those cypress stumps from Reelfoot Lake. (He kept an album of people he didn’t like done like that.) I suspect he showed my photo to an ex-boyfriend. When I finally wised up that HE DID NOT LIKE ME, I quit going down there for awhile. - I know what you mean, though, it’s aggravating, and seems a bit self-centered and egotistical.
for me to find later as desired. facebook account deletion link.
