Not to be a spoiler here, but listening to her you can see where the Bushes never developed strong philosophical conservative underpinnings.
Like BOR, they sound conservative on top, but when listened to in depth, something’s not quite right. A shame too - I loved Bush’s speeches. But he didn’t really understand conservatism.
It trickles out when Jenna says, “right to college education”. There is no right to a college education. There is a right to seek after one, and make yourself the best you can be, but a right to a college ed is something libs hook onto, like a right to a house, or a right to “free” healthcare.
Now she’s young yet, and probably hangs with libs all the time. And sees lots of kids she wants to help. Her heart is there. But you know? My kids, who are younger, wouldn’t have made those mistakes.
Flame away.
Just look at the grandparents. You can see why the current generation Of Bushes is what it is.
Flame away? No need to....your post is spot on.
I agree with every word your posted.
You are right on target....therefore should be flameless.
We need to drastically remake our high schools in this country into two tracks. First one is University with the second being vocational. To remain on the University track, students must be able to pass standardized exams.
I had the same thought. The vocabulary used in this article/headline were x degrees off base.
Instead of ‘right’ Jenna might have used the word ‘opportunity.’ But, credit where credit is due. she is in there, doing the low level work instead of trading on her name and lineage to make millions just for being Jenna Bush. The headline also seems a little bizarre. 2nd and 3rd grade ‘scholars?’ ‘Students’ would have been more appropriate.
Re C. Clinton as hedge fund mgr. as referenced up-thread, I think she left that gig and is again a student, this time at Columbia. A few weeks ago there were stories that her hub left his hedge fund mgr gig to become a ski bum, that the marriage was falling apart, etc. That story went quiet quickly. As it should.
