Meanwhile,.... we spend hundreds of billions on unnecessary knee surgeries for arthritis which are no better than placebo according to scientific studies.

Let us know when you do something about that fraud first.

A Controlled Trial of Arthroscopic Surgery for Osteoarthritis of the Knee

In this controlled trial involving patients with osteoarthritis of the knee, the outcomes after arthroscopic lavage or arthroscopic débridement were no better than those after a placebo procedure.

"And for the medical community, it has led to the understanding that arthroscopic surgery, as performed an estimated 200,000 times a year for the treatment of osteoarthritic knees, may be useless. "My opinion is we probably shouldn't be doing it," said Dr. Bruce Moseley, lead author of the study and clinical associate professor of orthopedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston."

Science gets trumped when billions can be charged to Medicare by doctors/hospitals for quack procedures.

I once took a dog to an animal acumpunturist. The results were satisfactory enough that I would do it again under the same circumstances.

I know of a woman who had acupuncture for a back ailment with satisfactory results and another woman who did it for a back ailment without satisfactory results, but then nothing else has helped much, either--including surgery.
