Norwood said that they had both been sexually assaulted and attacked by two masked men who then killed Jayna, but spared Brittany's life somehow... Norwood is black, and the dead woman, Murray, is white. If this had happened the other way around -- if Murray (white woman) had brutally killed Norwood (black woman) and then cunningly lied about it for a week, would the Rev. Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton be up in arms coming to Bethesda with their big megaphones to say that this was a crime against a young African-American woman and that it should be considered a Hate Crime?

The perp is black, so she can’t be prosecuted.
