Local blogs stating that the pitbulls ripped off her entire calf muscle and all the skin off the bone from the elbow down. EMT guy I know said it looked like an eaten chicken bone. She also is scared for life as a chunk got taken out of her cheek and chin.

If I ever get a pit bull I’m naming him Chet99, I am.

The modern compound bow:

No noise or undue attention. All the owner would know was that his killer dog had developed a hole through its chest cavity.

I have been told, repeatedly, that attacks like this are rare.

...he used a stun gun to stop them but it was too late.

I would suppose that if you live with someone/thing that requires a stun gun to control you might want to rethink your decision to live with such a thing, let alone subject those around you to your decisions. I hope the victim gets what she deserves out of this....as well as the dog owner.

I once saw a pit bull attack and nearly kill another family's dog. The pit bull was the most vicious, blood thirsty (literally) dog I've ever seen. Nobody was able to free the little mutt from the pit bull.

These dogs could be a good reason to pack heat, if they come after you, there is no stopping them.

***Sigh.***

When Fox16 talked to her she was heavily sedated and barely cognizant but confirmed she was in a lot of pain.

Well, that's the exact time you want to do an interview! Journalistic ethics on parade!

The police report says Jordan was walking down this alley behind South Pulaski Street when the two dogs came rushing at her out of a yard with no fence.

Hmmm...owning large dogs with a small yard and no fence. Gee, must have been some genetic component only pit bulls have, no problem with the owner.

Allmon faces charges of failure to license a pet and letting the animals roam at large.

What? No, that's not possible, no pit bull attack could ever be the owner's fault! Heck, why are they called pit bull attacks if a human did something stupid? This man is innocent!

Pit bull owners don’t want to admit that it runs with the breed. Maybe they’re afraid of the philosophical implications.

1) Large and/or aggressive breed of dog? YES! Owner thought an appropriate method of control was a stun gun.

2) Running loose, often >1 running loose? YES! Two pits packed up to seek and destroy.

3) Previous reports of aggressive behavior? Not reported.

4) Unrealistic expectation of gentleness from owner, often despite #3 above? Yes and no. Yes in that he thought nothing of opening the door and letting them out while he stayed in, no in that he figured the only way to control them was with a stun gun.
