I was planning on backing up my laptop this past weekend so I would have backups of all my vital data--my ping list being a part of that. However, my laptop power supply decided on Friday that 8 years was long enough to labor, and it died.

Eight years is pretty good. What brand is it?

So, in other words, no ping list, right?

Oh well, these things happen.

It's a Sager. The machine is still running pretty good. Once the power supply gets replaced, I'll be up and running again with no problems.

I bought it in 2003, thinking it will be a 10-year machine:

  1. laptop form factor
  2. Desktop 3.2Ghz CPU
  3. 17" screen
  4. 1G Ram
  5. 2 160G HDD, with HW RAID available
  6. DVD writer
I bought it in 2003. That kind of tech was just making its appearance.

My next 10-year machine will be a real monster. :)

For future reference, you do know that you can FREEPmail your ping list to yourself, don't you?
That way it's accessible any time you are on FR, whatever computator you happen to be using at the time.
