Imagine the outrage if Bush were in office and he did not go back to DC when the US was under attack.

President Obama said that the distance between the United States and Japan is so great that radiation could never make it to even Hawaii, let alone the continental US.

Yep, when Barry gets back from Rio he'll not only be saying, “uh, uh, uh, er, uh”, but a new one, “ooh, ah”

I for one will be looking forward to the ads of Japan’s beaches getting hit with radiation and the West Coast of the U.S.- and Obama on the beach in Rio...

Instead, he's heading down to South America, well out of the way of the radiation plume heading our way. If his wife and kids go with him, then you know it's going to be far worse than they are letting on. Do you have a map of said plume heading our way?

From your link:
The forecast does not show actual levels of radiation...at worst, would have extremely minor health consequences
Japan ain't the only place experiencing meltdowns, we've been getting a few on FR as of late as well.

The text from the NYSLIMES graphic link you posted:
A forecast by the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization shows how weather patterns this week might disperse radiation from a continuous source in Fukushima, Japan. The forecast does not show actual levels of radiation, but it does allow the organization to estimate when different monitoring stations, marked with small dots, might be able to detect extremely low levels of radiation. Health and nuclear experts emphasize that any plume will be diluted as it travels and, at worst, would have extremely minor health consequences in the United States.
UGH!

There’s some bad joke here about Valerie Plame and radioactive plumes, but I can’t come up with it.
It would be really interesting to see something that mapped the radiation from all the land, sea and atmospheric tests conducted, hundreds and hundreds, by the US, USSR, England, France and China.
That would be something to freak out about.

Japan ain't the only place experiencing meltdowns, we've been getting a few on FR as of late as well. Run all about, wave your arms, scream and shout. Its always amusing to watch how easily people can be manipulated by the anti-nuclear lefties.
