whoops i posted to you before i read all the posts-you got it.
I agree except I do give a fickle finger about where he was born. I am not willing to dismiss any fact that weighs on his ineligibility. The sooner he can be removed by such fickle fingers the sooner I can relax because I won’t have to be contributing to his retirement pension and supporting costs. Let Soros and his other enablers, probably including some congresspersons, military ,and judges pay for his world retirement funding.

You doubted me? I’m offended. ;)
I didnt doubt you I already posted the same info at least 5 times, just wanted everyone else to know the State Dept doesn’t even know..so how can we?
The witnesses to Obama’s birth.
Very, very well expressed.
The phrase, "Natural Born Citizen" comes directly from Vattel's treatise, 'Law of Nations', which learned men of the day (especially the Framers) were very familiar with.
I've done quite a bit of searching on that phrase since Obama was elected, but have found no colloquial references for it. It was essentially a legal term that defined a precise condition of citizenship (as defined by Vattel).
As far as I know, it may have been coined by Vattel himself.
I'm almost sure that I ran across another reference to NBC by one of the Framers in my travels, but all of my saved research is on the hard drive of a computer that's now FUBAR. I don't recall offhand now where I read it, or who it was that mentioned it.
At one time I felt that way about the Soviet threat and Berlin Wall. I seriously believed that I would never live to see the end of the Cold War.
Amazing, though, miracles happen.
Well, I’m conversing with about six or seven other people on this topic. If you’re that interested in what I have to say, read my posts. My understanding of this topic is dead on. As Rush likes to say, I live in “Litteralville”, not the way I want it to be or the way a long dead swiss philosopher says it was. If it is so obvious that Obama is not natural born then he would have been as qualified to run for President as Arnold Swartzenagger and Hillary Clinton would have had this plastered all over the press during the campaign.
The famed “birthers” commentators online never bring up any other angle for natural born qualifications. They want to see his real birth certificate to see his eligibility for office. Why, because if Anne Dunham had him outside the U.S. and she was under 18 (which she was at the time), the current law of 1961 says he is not a natural born citizen. That’s the issue.
Sorry to hear about your computer going screwey. I hate losing info like that. I’m aware of Vattel and it is very obvious that they got this general idea from Vattel. However, I find it interesting that the founders never really debated this term (that I know of) which was a vague and archaic term even at that time. Yet they put it in the constitution to say that the President had to meet a special qualification of citizenship. The very first Congress (of which many of the founders were in) went on to further refine this term to include U.S. citizens having babies abroad. That tells me that we know the general idea of the natural born citizen to be someone born here of American parents and it is up to Congress to qualify and refine this term further.
This same question of natural born came up when Goldwater ran. He was born in Arizona when it was a territory. Did that constitute “natural born”? There were also questions about Chester Arthur during his Presidency. His father was a citizen of Ireland at the time of his birth and there was always a question of whether he was born in Vermont or Canada. It’s almost an exact parallel to the Obama case. The questions were raised back then but nothing was ever proven one way or the other.
“No, current law says that only one parent has to be a U.S. citizen to be considered a natural born citizen”
Please tell me where I can find that law.
Please, stop already. I’m not reading your posts. I’ve kept up with this subject before you came along. Why the need to prove yourself so badly?
