Just ordered the daily special for 44 bucks including shipping on your say-so. If it doesn’t work out I won’t hold you responsible, but if I’m happy I will thank you. With spring, comes cigar-season for me...(other than tailgating times).
Down here in Texas, spring and fall are cigar times for me as well. I never smoke them in the house and it is to hot in the summertime.
If you want to gift to a cigar smoker and you are not part of his smoking inner-circle, then there is only one way to go:
Gift certificate. Either to an online shop, or local.
If you don’t like giving gift certificates, then buy a nice cigar accessory or buy a single smoke to go with the gift certificate.
also a very good suggestion although gift cards are some what tacky..... if its wrapped around a good cigar or with an apropriatly tasteful accessory.... might be good.... will have to look and see. Thanks for the advice
Cigars vary greatly in taste and quality, and so do the preferences of cigar smokers. The best approach is to find out with as great a specificty as possible what the boss likes. Then go to a full inventory cigar store, state your budget, and ask them to assemble a selection of cigars like that but of higher quality. Or, if you can’t find out what the boss likes, ask the store to assemble a high quality selection of cigars within your budget.
Somewhat tacky and sometimes unused, I know because I have a box full. I really don’t like gift cards at all.
However, I would much rather recieve a gift card to a cigar shop than have somebody spend money on cigars I will never smoke.
Well, up in Maryland I can smoke for 3 of the 4 seasons as I don't smoke in the house either, and by evenings during the summer it usually cools off enough for a trip to the balcony with a single malt and a cigar.
Cheers,
PB

Cubans are overrated. Don’t believe the hype.
I had a Rocky Patel vintage 1992 maduro the other day. I think it was about $8.
Another good affordable smoke is Gloria Cubana Series R Maduro. No. 5 is a good size.
2) Rocky Patel brand. I recommend trying the Renaissance and the Old Worlde Reserve.
Also!
You do not need to buy a whole box of anything.

A. Fuente...Fuente Fuente Opus X ...great smoke when you can find them. Your boss would give you a raise on the spot.
That “Sampler Pack” idea is a good one.
Nice gift with a lot to select from. Like a candy jar.
Acids are a good smoke, but they seem to burn quickly. I love the flavor of them however.
I smoke Punch cigars. Good smokes and a good price. If I am feeling really Militant, I will buy a Punch Champion. They look like the cigar that Mick from the “Rocky” movies might smoke.
Padron 1926 or 1964 at about $25 a pop.
Forget the rest of the posts.
There are no finer US market cigars.
Dunhill or Davidoff will make a good impression. I just opened my last order Romeo Y Julieta...Reserca Real (4.5x56) and Rocky Patel ... vintage 1992 (5X50).
