No. Sorry. I hop it is stopped. I do not hav any experience in reactors. Only know it does not look like a good system to fail safe a heavy earthquake and tidal wave. Also why they put 4 reactors in the same place? Any ideas?.
Secondly...I think these plants had redundant fail safe systems intact. They had good system's in place...But no one builds expecting a 9.0 earthquake....and a tidal wave to boot.
I'm sure you understand the likely hood and magnitude of a 9.0 quake, correct? The nuke plants are placed near water....that's why you have 4 reactors in the same place. Plus economies of scale come into play. These reactors have been in place for decades. They have been safe for decades. They cannot be totally built safe for everything man and nature can throw at them. That's impossible.
In the end...these reactors will be shut down forever. But I predict they will not be a problem going forward.
IOW, the safety systems did their job. Not perfect...by any means..but they did their job...under extreme circumstances.
Well good. I hope so. Are you familiar with nuke reactors and radiation
Thanks-
Good. I think we should get rid of EPA and start up coal plants again. I do not believe the CO2 scam.
There is no absolute safe, but a nuke is multiple times safer than coal, oil, or even NG.
Lung cancers related to fossil fuels kill thousands every year. Chernobyl, the worst nuke disaster to date, killed 50, TMI none, Japan none to date.
You need to wake up and educate yourself, unless you like looking the fool.
