I guess you have to meet the guy. (Or have met him before he became an icon.) Well, I spotted him at the time as a manipulator, though, of course, I didn’t predict his future career, or else I’d have attached myself to him, though it was long before he was somebody. But, as I said, a charmer her was, and how do you confront someone who makes promises he cannot and will not keep, and stay in the polite society?
