We are bombarded with magRags at the check-out cuonters at all grocery stores. Curious.......who buys magazines any more? If you do, which ones do you buy?
Sports Illustrated, ONE TIME A YEAR...
:->
True that.
I bought an issue of Commentary for the first time in years a month ago, and I had a subscription to NR for about a year-this is the third time in my adult life-but let it lapse.
The funny thing is that Newsmax is supposedly the most popular conservative magazine on the market and it started out as a website.
Only two magazines. “Gramophone” and “Trains”.
lol, beat me to it...damn Freepers.
Nooooo
OOORAH!
Millionaire Blueprints http://www.millionaireblueprints.com/index.php
Step-by-step instructions (VERY detailed w/lists) of how to start different businesses by those who have...out of print now, but might be coming back (the owner died).
Woman’s Day and Birds and Blooms. The pictures are just so beautiful in Birds and Blooms, and Woman’s Day is just IMHO the best of the women’s mags.
My son reads Motor a trade mag. That’s it.
I will tell you why people are not buying magazines these days. From this week’s Time:
“If you think about it, his perspective as growing up in Kenya with a Kenyan father and grandfather, their view of the Mau Mau revolution in Kenya is very different than ours.”
— Mike Huckabee, former Arkansas governor, stating incorrectly in a radio interview that President Obama grew up in Kenya; he later issued a statement saying he “misspoke” and “meant to say Indonesia,” where the Hawaii-born Obama spent some childhood years.
As you can see, Time still cannot bring themselves to admit Obozo’s true birthplace. And they wonder why their circulation is down to 90,000 copies a week.
Popular Science, Psychology Today, Cycleworld, Blackbelt Magazine, pretty much just anything where the information’s falsifiable and technical.
Western Horseman, Practical Horseman
Sea-Monkeys Magazine
I think coin magazines and other trade publications are still popular as you need a constant update in prices and info and many internet sites don’t list all the relevant information.
Haven’t bought a NEW magazine in years. Maybe 3-4 a year at a second hand book store. Sky and Tel, Model Aviation, various hobbies.
