On any given day, Glenn Becks show at 5:00 PM Eastern on Fox News, has better ratings than Foxs Greta Van Susterens show that runs at night, prime time shall we say. Susteren, regardless how weak she is versus the others in the evening at FNC, is still stronger than the hot-heads on MSNBC and the losers at CNN. Therefore, it is strange the Drudge Report-posted pending NYT story that Fox and Beck will part ways.
Indeed, Beck being extreme may be the reason as to why Beck may end his career at Fox. However if he is extreme, in addition to having ratings way better than Maddow, Shultz and others, maybe MSNBC should hire Beck
Glenn may just not feel up to (ill health) doing two major projects, such as TV and radio.
The old 60s, Woodstock liberals like Beck just aren’t cutting it for the “DemocRATS” anymore. They’re not radical enough. Too conservative. Tony the Weiner, Special Ed Schultz and Keith “The Freak” Olbermann are the new voices of the new millennium ‘RATs.
Murdoch ain’t gonna slaughter his golden goose. Beck’s ratings are nearly 3x that the next in line.
Beck has become the only reason we watch FOX, except for Cavuto.
Ditto.
I think he’s kinda run out of gas.
It really does not matter how many views Beck has, but rather how many advertisers he has. Moreover, if those viewers are outside the 18-49 age demographic, the show becomes even less appealing to advertisers.

Pass me a tissue. I’m all choked up.
Too preacher like for me.
Becoming a preacher? That is how he comes across lately.
Disregard post 4. I’m having a brain stall. Long weekend. I was thinking Bob Beckel. oy. Time for a nap. Heh heh heh.
Yeah, I can only take that for so long. Then I O.D.
Does he have any advertisers?
Beck started off strong and excellently on FNC in 2009, but since last year, he’s peaked. Most of his shows these days are just endless repetitions of themes that he’s covered for years.
BFL
I’ve never been a huge Beck fan, but I do thank him for getting so many women involved in the process. I know so many people who had never really understood politics and the world until he came along. That being said, I have to say that whenever I stumble onto his show, he’s talking about Van Jones! What is up with that? It’s like he’s a bit obsessed!
Agreed
Only reason Beck’s show appears “extreme” is because all the content he shows thats coming out of that bozo admistratiob is nothing but EXTREME!
